New York has a way of testing even the strongest spirits. For every dream that lands in the city, countless more vanish under its weight. But Alisa Roever’s story is not one of defeat. It is one of resilience—of a young woman who arrived from Siberia at twenty with little more than determination, and who transformed that determination into a life that bridges glamour, substance, spirituality, and generosity. Hers is a journey fueled not only by ambition, but by an unwavering belief in herself and the power of gratitude to transform challenges into growth.

Her beginnings in the city were framed by fashion. Modeling opened doors, pulling her into the rarefied world of castings, runways, and glossy editorials. It was a glittering entry point, though hardly a simple one; the demands of that industry are relentless. Yet beneath its surface shimmer, Roever nurtured something deeper—self-love, faith, and the daily practice of living in the moment. Between shoots and casting calls, she enrolled in university and pursued a degree in nutrition. It was a deliberate choice: a way of grounding herself in knowledge, purpose, and spiritual connection in a world that often prized appearances over authenticity.

That choice altered her trajectory. With her degree in hand, she joined Path Medical, a respected name in wellness and anti-aging, where she merged academic knowledge with real-world application. Here, Roever was no longer only seen but also heard, engaging with patients, professionals, and colleagues who valued her insights. This chapter revealed her growing voice: a belief that true wellness comes not only from the body, but from gratitude, self-belief, and the courage to embrace who you are in every moment.

If modeling and medicine gave her professional footing, philanthropy revealed her deeper calling. For more than two decades, Roever has lent her time and energy to charitable causes, helping organize benefit balls and fundraising events that marry sophistication with social impact. Most recently, she co-founded Angels Helpers NYC, a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring that children and young adults can access arts and cultural programs regardless of financial means.

The results have been tangible. At a gala in 2024, nearly $200,000 was raised under the theme “Big City, Big Hearts: New Yorkers Helping New Yorkers.” The proceeds went to the Harlem School of the Arts and Highbridge Voices—organizations that do more than teach performance; they cultivate discipline, nurture creativity, and give young people the tools to discover their own voices. For Roever, the measure of success lies not in the sum collected but in the futures made possible.

Her work, however, does not end in the ballroom. As a writer for Haute Living, she has shared reflections on health, wellness, and the search for balance—essays rooted not in abstraction but in lived experience. As a speaker, she emphasizes resilience, gratitude, and self-belief, teaching audiences to live fully, to love themselves, and to trust their own strength. “Failures,” she has said, “are blessings in disguise.” From her, the phrase resonates with authenticity, sharpened by reinvention and illuminated by her conviction that God and spirituality guide every path.

There is, too, the quieter side of her story. Roever is a mother, navigating the inevitable negotiations between public commitments and private rhythms. Family has not tempered her ambition; it has given it dimension. The glow of galas and the gravity of philanthropic work are balanced by the intimacy of home and the joy of small, sacred moments—reminders that life’s greatest power comes from love, presence, and gratitude.

Today, she is shaping the next phase of her journey. A forthcoming book and podcast will expand her philosophy of wellness, spirituality, and creativity to wider audiences. Through these platforms, she hopes not only to share her story, but to guide others in discovering their own: to believe in themselves, to honor their power, and to embrace life with self-love and joy. She also embraces digital platforms as a way to connect more intimately. On Instagram she has more than 1 mill followers. Her posts often blend elegance with honesty, offering a window into the same themes that animate her writing and speaking. There is little artifice; instead, her presence feels candid, generous, and encouraging—like a friend reminding you to breathe, be grateful, and trust the strength within you.

Alisa Roever’s life could easily be reduced to archetypes—the immigrant dreamer, the model-turned-wellness advocate, the philanthropist in evening gowns. But what makes her story resonate is how she embodies all of those roles at once without being defined by any single one. She has moved through worlds that rarely overlap, weaving them into a narrative of grace, faith, and empowerment.

New York is full of stories of ambition. What sets hers apart is the way ambition became a vessel for something greater. Beyond the spotlight, beyond the runways and the benefit halls, Alisa Roever is crafting a legacy of resilience, wellness, and spiritual teaching. And in a city that often celebrates noise, her quiet strength—rooted in gratitude, self-love, and the belief that every person can find their own light—speaks volumes.
