As the Autumn/Winter '25 season wraps up, the grand finale of Rotate's highly anticipated show marks the start of a whirlwind of fashion reviews. So, what made our list of must-know makeup trends? Silken skin. With velvety finishes taking center stage, makeup artists at both OpéraSport and Rotate opted for luminous powder over the glass skin trend.

Partnering for a second season, Charlotte Tilbury’s Pro Artistry team, led by Sofia Tilbury, the brand's global artistry director, was responsible for the satin skin look at Rotate—a signature style that Tilbury herself is renowned for perfecting. "It’s an honor to once again collaborate closely with Jeanette and Thora to help bring their creative vision to life," says Sofia. "For the makeup look, I wanted to reflect the glamour and elegance of this season’s Rotate woman, who instantly commands attention when she walks into the room."

The collection took inspiration from 1990s supermodel references, featuring rich chocolate browns and luxe faux fur textures. To complement the designs, the Charlotte Tilbury team crafted a "pretty, pared-back look," focusing on fresh, barely-there skin. Achieving the lit-from-within effect required thorough skin preparation, with the team using cult favorites like the Magic Water Cream and Magic Hydrator Mists to boost moisture levels. "We used complexion products sparingly," Sofia adds, emphasizing the importance of the Hollywood Flawless Filter to create a soft-focus, radiant finish.

Brows were lightly groomed for a feathered effect, and the eyes were framed with little-to-no mascara, with the Tilbury team opting for a subtle taupe wash on the eyelids. For the lips, the Hollywood Beauty Icon Lipsticks were applied in a blotting motion to enhance the natural lip color and add a touch of rosiness. The final touch to this flawless look? A layer of the Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir, sealing in the beauty.
