King Charles’s Book Harmony Comes To Life In New Amazon Film

Move over, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle—there’s a new royal documentary in the works, and this time, it’s all about King Charles III. The British monarch is stepping into the nonfiction film world with an upcoming Amazon Prime documentary centered on his lifelong passion: protecting the planet.
While the title remains under wraps, reports from The Times suggest the film will focus on the ideas explored in Charles’s 2010 book, Harmony: A New Way of Looking at Our World. In a Vanity Fair interview at the time of the book’s release, the then-Prince of Wales made his mission clear: “I am absolutely determined to be the defender of nature. Full stop. That’s what the rest of my life is going to be concerned with.”
In Harmony, Charles didn’t hold back. “This is a call to revolution,” he wrote. “The Earth is under threat. It cannot cope with all that we demand of it. It is losing its balance, and we humans are causing this to happen.” Over a decade later, these concerns have only intensified, especially with ongoing environmental challenges and policy shifts around the world.
It’s no secret that Charles’s passion for the environment runs in the family. Prince William has been outspoken about sustainability, working to reduce his own carbon footprint, while Prince Harry has used his platform to advocate for environmental innovation—particularly in the U.S. Harry, who starred in the 2022 Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan, is also set to release With Love, Meghan on March 4, a series promising “an authentic look” at Meghan Markle, according to a close source.
As for Charles, his upcoming Amazon documentary aims to give audiences a deeper understanding of who he is and what he stands for. “More than any other documentary he has done before, the goal seems to be to show the world what the King truly believes in,” an insider told The Times.
With Buckingham Palace officially backing the project, Charles is said to be “greatly looking forward” to seeing his book come to life on screen. The documentary is expected to premiere on Amazon Prime in late 2025 or early 2026.
